The session will feature data from SisterLove’s community-led Georgia Medication Abortion (GAMA) project, examining medication abortion perceptions and experiences among Black and Latinx women in Georgia. Findings from this study have been disseminated to BIPOC communities in Atlanta through various formats, including a psychoeducational video explaining medication abortion and its accessibility in a state with restrictive abortion policies. A legal analysis of medication abortion access in restricted states will be provided, along with proposals to adapt and implement GAMA findings in communities across the U.S.
